The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation will host their annual bike ride to raise awareness and money towards their commitment to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. All members of the community are welcome to grab their helmets and bicycles and ride leisurely through the beautiful bike trails. The event will start and end at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, NY. Registration and a continental breakfast will start at 8 AM. The bike ride will start at the Cyclist Statue at 9 AM after a ribbon-cutting ceremony from DRIF CEO Sean Kramer. The bike ride is not a race and will not be timed. Participants can choose the distance they’d like to cycle. Non-cyclists are also welcome at the event and will have a stretch session and music to enjoy throughout the day. After 12 PM there will be a finish line and after ride celebration. To register, participants can go to diabetesresearch.org/events. There, people can form a team, join a team, register as an individual cyclist, or donate towards the amazing cause. All attendees must register before Friday, September 16, 2022. Please contact info@mardenfeld.com if you have any questions!
