Joel has been working in the Insurance industry since 1989. He holds a B.S. degree in business from the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University. Upon graduating, he held the positions of senior underwriter for Aetna Life and Casualty, Senior Multi-National Underwriter for AIG. and later became an Independent Insurance Agent. Joel joined Brooks-Waterburn in 2001 as Commercial Lines Manager and became Vice President in 2004. Joel is co-creator of the “Laundromat Success Program”, Brooks-Waterburn’s premier industry program for Laundromat owners nationwide. He is also the current president and founder of a local BNI chapter.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, dining out and entertaining with his wife, two children and friends. He is a former VP of a local youth soccer league, a member of his community chamber of commerce and attends many local civic meetings to address topics within the community.

Kim is the entrepreneurial spirit, founder, and CEO of KGI Design Group since 1994. Kim holds a BFA from SUNY FIT, and attended the Yale Brissago program, which allowed her to study under Armin Hoffman and Paul Rand. Before forming KGI, Kim worked at various NYC advertising agencies and client-side in the finance and entertainment industries. Kim’s work has been published in several design books and publications and has received awards, including BDA International. Kim is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB program.

I have been married to my wife, Joanne, since 1989 and together we have two sons, Joseph and Matthew. Prior to joining State Farm, I was a pediatric rehabilitation professional for twenty years during which time I took care of children with disabilities. I was able to combine both my life experiences and true desire to make a difference in the lives of others and convert them into the State Farm world. In December 2009, I opened the doors to my first State Farm Agency in Hampton Bays, NY. Two years later, an agency opportunity presented itself in my neighboring town of Farmingdale and I was selected to open and serve in this great community. I am a proud member of both the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce and the East Farmingdale Kiwanis Club.
